Bridget Rossi, MSN-ED, AGACNP-BC, RN, OCN is a nurse practitioner specializing in adult acute care, geriatric medicine, bio-identical hormone replacement, and chronic weight loss management. Her thirty years of nursing experience include: medical/surgical, trauma, emergency room, oncology/hematology, stem-cell transplant, palliative care, hospice care, cancer survivorship, intensive care, and post anesthesia care nursing. Bridget’s holistic approach emphasizes prevention as a path to wellness.
In 2014, Bridget developed and implemented a cancer survivorship clinic at the University of Florida, Jacksonville. She was also the founder and president of Helping Hands for Lung Cancer, a 501 3C non-profit. Her work from 2004-2013 helped the uninsured and underinsured with medical costs and living expenses. In 2009, Bridget was awarded “Health Care Hero” by the Jacksonville Business Journal and Distinguished Individual for Cancer Services by Baptist Cancer Institute.
Bridget has also been a healthcare advocate for lung cancer. She lobbied the United States Congress and Senate to pass a health care initiative for lung cancer screening. Bridget holds memberships in Gerontological Advanced Practice Nurses Association, Oncology Nursing Society, and American Association of Nurse Practitioners.
Bridget has served as an adjunct professor in the areas of medical surgical and critical care nursing for Florida State College at Jacksonville and Jacksonville University. She earned her undergraduate degrees in business administration and nursing from Frederick Community College and University of Maryland. She later received a Master of Science degree in nursing education from Jacksonville University and a Post Master’s Nurse Practitioner Degree from Grand Canyon University in Adult Geriatric Acute Care.
Bridget has lived in San Marco for over 20 years and enjoys traveling and spending time with family and friends.
Joe Cohen is an author, journalist, and editor who has also been a personal fitness trainer and wellness coach.
Joe co-authored Write Father, Write Son: A Bond-Building Journey with his son and wrote the content for the website to promote the book. He later became the President and co-founder of Empowered Fathers in Action, a non-profit organization, for which he wrote the website content to promote its mission. Joe recently edited Beyond the Sphere, an award winning book written by a Pulitzer Prize nominated investigative reporter.
Joe was a New York Sports Club personal trainer and physical therapist assistant at Executive Park Physical Therapy and Sports Rehabilitation in Yonkers, NY. He later became an Executive Trainer and Wellness Coach for Isagenix International, serving physical therapists, chiropractors, and their patients. Joe has also provided nutritional counseling for fitness center owners, personal trainers, athletes, and health conscious individuals.
While at Isagenix International, Joe advised entrepreneurs how to fulfill their potential and expand globally, providing solutions for wealth creation, energy and performance, healthy aging, and weight management. He managed a direct sales distribution network of over 2,000 independent business owners and customers. Joe earned the rank of Executive while coaching independent business owners to enroll and service their customers. He designed and led weekly teleconference leadership training calls about personal development for dozens of independent business owners.
